- The use of a face mask is required when inside public spaces and when travelling on all flights. When you arrive at the airport, please continue to wear your mask after disembarking until you have cleared the public areas.
- Please maintain good hygiene and use the hand sanitiser stations.
- If you or someone you are travelling with is not feeling well, please do not enter airport precinct or travel.
Important information for airport users
- When using common user facilities such as fuel pumps, airside barrier arm keypads, and access gates, please use the hand sanitiser prior to and after use or wear disposable gloves. Hand sanitiser is located around the airport including access gates and fuel pumps.
- Remember to regularly clean all ‘high-touch’ surfaces – these include counter tops, tabletops, door handles, bathroom fixtures, toilets, phones, keyboards and tablets.
Working together
Wānaka Airport’s priority is the health, well-being, safety and security of our people, customers and community. We are continuing to monitor the COVID-19 situation, working closely with other airports, the airlines, the Southern District Health Board, and the wider airport community to ensure consistent protocols are in place so that safe domestic travel and aviation activity can take place within New Zealand.
We thank you in advance for your patience and understanding during this time.
Please observe the ‘Golden Rules’
- If you’re sick, stay home. Don’t go to work or school. Don’t socialise.
- If you have cold or flu symptoms call your doctor or Healthline and make sure you get tested.
- Wash your hands. Wash your hands. Wash your hands.
- Sneeze and cough into your elbow, and regularly disinfect shared surfaces.
- If you are told by health authorities to self-isolate, you must do so immediately.
- If you’re concerned about your wellbeing, or have underlying health conditions, work with your GP to understand how best to stay healthy.
- People will have had different experiences over the last couple of months. Whatever you’re feeling — it’s okay. Be kind to others. Be kind to yourself.
